Hello everyone,
I want to do some longer process post soon but in the meantime here a small sketchbook tour, and a couple digital studies ! I try to study a bit every week, and to train on various subject.
A huge focus recently has been anatomy. Here some studies from true ref packs mostly as well as a couple unsplash pictures.
One eternal struggle is hand, so I've done some hand pages, based on @sambeawesome.bsky.social great ref pack, not all are great but that's how you learn.
Another one has been doing faces pages, trying to do really small faces as well as larger one to train both my face anatomy and my capacity to draw smaller face when working traditionally. Most of the ref are from unsplash, and a couple from trueref.
I've also focused on drawing old women as I needed some preparation for my mentorship illustration (but that will be another blog post). So I drew some screenshot of great actress in cool roles !
And obviously some gesture drawing was to the menu too, digitally for these one, and done with the help of the trueref timed drawing tool.
